Decluttering Tips and Support Weekly Newsletter Vol. 6Dear Reader, When I started my minimalist journey in December 2014, I never imagined that I'd be podcasting, coaching, and helping moms overcome overwhelm by decluttering their homes, heads, and hearts. I just knew I wanted to be a mom, and the promise of minimalism gave me hope that simplicity could be part of my journey. You would think that after almost a decade of decluttering, I would have a lot of decluttering regrets. Most of us hold onto stuff we don't need because of fears around decluttering regret, including: "I paid so much for this! The tags are still on it." "I need to keep it just in case." "My kids might want this someday." But even though my family jokes that if it's not bolted down, I might declutter it.... I have very few decluttering regrets. The one thing? My youngest son's clothing. It seems that in Virginia, March comes in like a lion, but not always out like a lamb. So I have learned that holding onto his cold weather clothing for a few months longer is a good idea instead of decluttering them at the first sign of spring. Still, I was able to use the Minimalists' 20/20 rule and learned my lesson for the next time so I can make more intentional decisions about purchasing - and decluttering! Do you have any decluttering regrets? Hit reply and let me know! Decluttering Tips and Support Dear Reader, Have you ever heard of the Great Stuff Transfer? It's when Boomer parents try to give their stuff (mostly furniture, housewares, heirlooms, etc.) to their children who either don't have the room for the items or don't want them. Perhaps you've experienced a variation of this, where you're given boxes of items from your childhood that your parents were holding onto for years. I was given all my report cards since kindergarten. :) It seems that while...
