My #1 Decluttering Tip

Decluttering Tips and Support Weekly Newsletter Vol. 5

Dear Reader,

Almost a decade into my minimalist journey, I am fairly ruthless about getting physical clutter out of my house.

Case in point - yesterday was Valentine's Day. My boys came home with backpacks FULL of valentines, candy, and "treasures". I use the term treasure loosely. But what I see as knick-knacks and junk, they see as something precious.

We took a moment to go through their treasure boxes and play my favorite game "Love Like Maybe No" - using the container concept to decide what stayed and what got trashed.

In fact, the container concept is the #1 tactical decluttering tip that can simplify decluttering. Even a 6 year old can do it!

It's no wonder that my episode about the container concept is one my top downloaded episodes ever! And speaking of episodes...

We just reached 100 episodes and I celebrate on today's podcast with audio clips of the top 10 downloaded episodes of all time!

Thanks so much for all your support on this journey! I couldn't do it without you.

Because I said so...that's why.

Decluttering Tips and Support Dear Reader, My youngest son Sean is one of those kids who is always asking, "WHY"? In fact, when he was younger we got him a shirt that said "Why? Why? Why?" because he asked it so much. Oftentimes, I have to bite my tongue from saying the phrase I promised I'd never say as a parent: A phrase repeated by parents for generations...Because I said so! I always figured that Sean's repeated questioning when asked to do something reflected disrespect. Why couldn't he...

Decluttering Tips and Support Dear Reader, It's almost October, which means that a special season is upon us.
